Description
Dotted Tuna (Scientific name: Euthynnus affinis) is a species of tuna in the Tuna family belonging to the line of bass, distributed in warm waters of the Indian-Pacific Ocean, East Africa, Sri Lanka, Indonesia , Malaysia, Philippines, Japan, China, in Vietnam, they are mainly found in the Central and Southern waters. This is a species of fish of high economic value, harvested all year round, and can be eaten fresh, canned, smoked and frozen.

CHARACTERISTICS
This is a large fish, exploiting size 240-450mm, mainly 360 mm. The body of the fish is rhombus, head is slightly pointed, the two jaws are nearly equal in length. On the palate and the cane leaves are teeth. Dorsal fin close to each other and spaced narrower than eye diameter. The belly is light silver, with 2–5 characteristic black spots between the pectoral fins and the ventral fins. The fins are dark. The pelvic fins dark, with a white outer margin. The hard rays in the anterior part of the first dorsal fin are higher than those in the middle. The second dorsal fin is lower than the first. Pectoral fins short, not reaching mid-dorsal fin. Body not covered with scales except thoracic and lateral line. The back is dark blue, with complex black solutions.
